Eligibility:10+2 with 50% marks in science stream(PCM/PCB/D.Pharm) completed 17 years of age.
A Doctor of Pharmacy(Pharm.D.) is a proffessional doctor degree in pharmacy.In some countries,it is a first professional degree,and a prerequisite for licensing to exersise the profession of Phatmacist. Pharm.D course introduced by the Government of India and the Pharmacy Council of India in 2008.
The Pharm.D Program is a professional doctrol program. It was introduced to improve clinical pharmacy services in India and it is the only Pharmacy service which is in direct contact with patient health care system. The Pharm.D degree requires five years of classroom and one year of internship or residency.Sixth year involves posting in speciality units training tudents in pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy services
Currently all accredited schools and colleges of pharmacy in the US offer the Pharm D degree. National association of Boards of Pharmacy is now permitting students with 5 Years degree like Pharm D for FPGEE eligibility.
